Handfasting Wedding Ceremonies.

What is handfasting?

Handfasting is a Celtic ritual that simbolizes unity. The tradition involves a couple's hands being tied together with cords or ribbons as they face each other. Vows are typically exchanged as the hands are tied.

Usually included in the ceremony are the ancient traditions of "jumping the broom" and the newly married couples first act together of distributing "cake and ale"(or wine) to all the wedding guests
